Try to keep your pencil lines as light as you can and still see them. Mine are darker than I would usually make them so that you can see them.
I painted the lightest yellows with a light wash of Lemon Yellow.
I painted Cadmium Yellow in the areas where there was brighter yellow, and softened it with a damp brush to get rid of the hard edges. Then I mixed a little Cadmium Red into some Cadmium Yellow to make a light orange, and painted the centers. I mixed Cadmium Yellow and Sap Green for some of the leaves that I could see a little yellow showing. I will darken parts of them later.
I forgot to take a photo of the next steps, so I will try to explain them all. I put a very light wash of Cobalt Blue in the shadows of the petals. I darkened the insides of the centers by adding more Cad red to the original orange. I darkened the leaves by mixing Ultramarine Blue with the Sap Green. When everything was dry, I mixed a large puddle of Ultramarine Blue and Sap Green - more bluish than greenish, and painted the background.
