Face/Eyes continued

I wet the eyes (but not the little white highlight) and put in cobalt blue around the inside edge and let it bleed toward the center.  Make sure that little highlight stays "white".
I used a mixture of Ultramarine Blue and Burnt Sienna for the dark brown eyebrows and hair.

I painted the entire scarf with a wash of Thalo Blue.

When the first wash dried, I used a darker version - Thalo Blue mixed with Ultramarine Blue for the shadow and fold.

I painted Thalo Blue around the inside edge of the eyes, and then softened the edge with a damp brush.

I darkened the shadows around the eyes, painted the pupils (leaving those highlights), and added some texture to the hair.  Looks like I forgot to add those loose strands of hair on the right.  You can add them if you want.

Yes, I could have gone even darker with the hair and the eye shadow, but I'm calling this done.

Our first portrait???
